  • Youth Zone

Youth Zone was established by the Foundation for a Safe South Africa to ensure youths have positive choices as alternative to getting involved in negative social behaviour. A network of 36 rural communities across all the South African provinces where youth at risk assist each other to learn and grow. The focus is on using sport as platform to learn computer literacy, life-skills and enterprise development. The model consists of young leaders (role-models) changing themselves by reaching out to the younger kids in their communities and sharing their experience in a wider network.
